Several easy ways to hide folders

Everyone has some private files or folders that they don't want others to see, and sometimes don't want to install hidden folders. Today, I will tell you some simple hidden folder methods, such as: use “ recycle bin & rdquo; hidden files, always show hidden files, hide personal drives, system directory warnings, add system properties, add & ldquo; hide & rdquo ; attributes, etc. ……

First, use "Recycle Bin"Hide Files

“Recycle Bin" This is used to temporarily save files that have been deleted, but if Hiding our personal files in the "Recycle Bin", then no one will pay attention to it. First, we select “Show all files” in the “View” tab of the “Folder Options” folder, then enter the root directory of the partition where the system is located, right-click “Recycled” folder selection “ Attributes & rdquo; command, in the "Properties" dialog box, select the "Enable thumbnail view mode" check box, click the "Apply" button. In this way, the system will automatically select the "Recycle Bin" checkbox, and then remove the "read only" check box, at this time, "recycle bin" The icon will change to the shape of a regular folder. Double-click the “Recycled” folder to drag the hidden profile into the folder window, then right-click the “Recycled” folder again and select the “Properties” command to check ““read only” check After the box, the "Recycle Bin" icon will return to its original state. After that, if someone double-clicks "Recycle Bin", he will not see any files inside. Even if other users perform the file deletion operation and perform the operation of “Empty Recycle Bin”, the files originally hidden here will not be deleted. By cleverly switching the properties of the &Requo;Recycled” folder, we can use it to hide our own secret files.

Second, change the personal folder to "recycle bin";

We can also use the "stealing the column" method, which will change our personal folder icon to "recycle" Station” icon. First, remove the “read-only” attribute in the properties window of the “Recycled” folder to make it a normal folder icon, enter the “Recycled” folder and “<desktop.ini” Copy the hidden file to the folder that needs to be hidden, for example, “d:\\zhj”; right click on the “zhj” folder and select the “Attributes” command. In the pop-up dialog box, check ““Read Only” ;, “Hide & rdquo; checkbox, then check the "Enable thumbnail view mode" checkbox. Now we will find that the “zhj” folder has become the “Recycle Bin” icon, but when others open the folder, they see the contents of the original “Recycled” folder instead of Will be the files in the folder zhj”. Of course, don't forget to check the "Don't show hidden files" item in the "View" tab of the "Folder Options" folder.

Third, always show hidden files

In Windows98, in general, we can check "check" in the "Properties" dialog box of the personal file <;Hide & rdquo; check Box, then select the "Don't show hidden files" button in the "View" tab of the "Folder Options" tab to achieve the purpose of hiding secrets, but those with a little computer knowledge should simply select “ Show all files & rdquo; radio button to display them all, so if you use the above method to hide personal files, you must limit the "display all files" command. To do this, find the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\explorer\\Advanced\\Folder\\Hidden\\SHOWALL” branch in the Registry Editor and find the binary subkey "Checked value" in the right window. Its key value is changed to “0”. In this way, even if "Show all files" is selected in the "View" tab, the hidden personal files will not be displayed. And when someone re-enters the “View” tab, he will find that the system automatically selects “ does not show hidden files & rdquo; this one!

Even more so, with the Registry Editor, we can hide the three radio buttons under the "Hide Files" item in the "View" tab. We only need to use the above-mentioned "Hidden" under "Hilden", "NOHIDOR", "NOHIDORSYS", "slow" string key (note: the key value of this key is different in Windows XP) The health value is cleared. This way, after exiting the Registry Editor and then entering the "View" tab, you will find that "Hidden files and folders" are empty. Anyone who wants to view our personal files is a two-word - no door, because there is no way to choose this place!

Fourth, hide personal drive

Since the computer used by the author in the unit is common, I used PartitionMagic to draw a new 50M drive in the hard disk (symbol G Then, save the author's personal files here, and then hide this partition. This way, others will not know that there is a 50M drive in this computer. The method is: enter the Explorer subkey in the third method above, Underneath it, create a new binary value of "NoDrivers" and change its value to "40000000".

V. System Directory Warning

Operation: Open the Windows folder and find Two files inside: Folder.htt and Desktop.ini (if not found, set the folder option to display all files via the “View” menu, copy it to the folder you want to hide, and Set the folder property to read-only. Open the Folder.htt in the folder with Notepad and delete the words “Show File”.

“Display File”

Evaluation: When you want to open this folder, there will be a warning like the Windows system directory, and there is no "display file" word, which makes people nowhere to start. However, as long as the read-only attribute is removed, the files are all presented in front of you.

VI. Add System Attributes

Operation: Add System Attributes on the basis of Method 3. Enter DOS Environment Enter attrib+s+r (folder name) after the command line, which adds system attributes to the folder. Since the system property is grayed out (inactive), there is no way for the average person to take it.

& ldquo; System & rdquo; attribute is not activated

Evaluation: This method seems to be very good, unless people familiar with DOS enter the black world to remove the system properties, otherwise, you can not spy on the secret inside. In fact, as long as You change the method, throw away "My Documents", "My Computer", change from the Explorer, what "Warning", what "System Properties", are at a glance I.

VII. Add “Hide”Properties

Operation: This method is very simple, just right click on the folder, click on the property, and select Hide in the property. Then Click [View] → [Folder Options] & Rarr; [View] on the menu, select "Don't show hidden files" in the "Hidden files" tab.

Evaluation: As long as you set up to display all the files, you have nowhere to hide. This method is only a rookie, of course, can only hide the rookie.

General comments: It seems that the so-called hidden folder, as long as it can be hidden, there is a way to display (actually restored). To ensure the security of your files, it's best to start with more. First give the file or folder a pseudonym, which is thought to be just a non-important file; at the same time, add a password to the file; then, use a variety of hidden methods to hide the folder at the same time. Of course, apply for a few free e-mails, hide important files in it than the above methods, and can be used as a mobile briefcase, wherever you can open it, what do you say?
