Fault 1: Run “ Start → Help and Support & rdquo; menu, the system does not respond . Solution: First try to enter the <quo;hepctr -regserver” command in the "start →run"; command to register the help component again. If the fault persists, open the C:\\\\Windows\\\\inf directory (the directory attribute is Hidden, you need to set “ display all files and folders in the Explorer to access, find the pchealth.inf file, right click on it, select the "Install" & rdquo; command to reinstall the help component, during the installation process The system will prompt to insert the Windows XP installation disk.
Fault 2: Press F1 or use “Start →Help & Support“When the menu is accessed, the system prompts “Could not start the Help and Support Service on Local Computer. Error 126: The specified module could not be Found (Help and Support service cannot be started) ”. Solution: First check if the Help and Support service is enabled by running the “services.msc” command to open the “Services” management window and find the service named “Help and Support” in the right window. Double-click to open, in the “General” tab, set "Startup Type" to "Automatic", "Service Status" is set to “ Started" (Figure 1). It should be noted that this service relies on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service, please confirm that the service is enabled, otherwise the settings will fail.
If the fault persists, run the “SFC /Scannow” command to perform Windows file protection verification. If the system file is changed or lost during the verification process, the system will prompt to insert the Windows XP installation disk. Copy the relevant files from the installation disk to the system (Figure 2). Solution: Insert the Windows XP installation CD, open the I386 directory on the CD, and copy the Winhlp32.cn_, Winhlp32.ex_, Winhlp32.hl_ files to a temporary directory on the hard disk, such as C:\\\\help. Then run &ldquo The cmd” command opens a command prompt window and goes to the C:\\help directory. Enter the following command in turn:
EXPAND WINHLP32.CN_WINHLP32.CNT

Then copy the Winhlp32.exe file to the C:\\\\Windows directory and copy Winhlp32.hlp to the C:\\\\Windows\\\\Help directory. Finally delete the C:\\\\help directory. If the problem persists, try removing the C:\\\\WINDOWS\\\\PCHEALTH\\\\HELPCTR\\\\Config\\\\News\\\ ewsver.xml file. 1. Alternative Access & ldquo; Help and Support Center & rdquo; method
