Windows XP 64-bit version released rumors

Microsoft has not officially announced the 64-bit version of the Windows XP operating system released news, but we found the Internet XP 64-bit version and Windows Server 2003 SP1 released from the Internet.

Microsoft launched the RC2 version of Windows Server 2003 on December 3, and Windows Server 2003 SP1 (including the X64 extension) will be available in the first week of February 2005. Because Intel's 64-bit IA64 architecture has problems compiling, Microsoft will not support Intel's Itanium processor in this release. Microsoft previously planned to launch the IDS version between the RC and RTM versions, but changed the name to RC2 in order to attract public attention.

On December 6, Microsoft will release Windows XP 64-bit version of RC1, version number 1288, and SDK, DDK and CPP versions will be released in a few weeks. Microsoft's WHQL submission will begin in RC2, and this version will be available in March 2005.

If all goes well, we will see Microsoft's public release of 64-bit version of WindowXP (including SP1) in March 2005.
