http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/release.ASP?releaseid=33494 to download a 4M XP boot disk creation program.

3. The WinXP boot partition (usually drive C) Boot.INI in the root directory, copy Bootsect.DOS, Ntdetect. COM, Ntldr and Bootfont.BIN these hidden system files to a floppy disk On, and change the Ntldr file name to Setuplde.BIN.

Now just use this "XP boot disk" to start WinXP.

Successfully install Windows XP SP1

1, first download SP1, the official download address is:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/sp/sp1/Wxp/cn/xpsp1_cn_x86.exe;

2. After getting the file xpsp1_cn_x86.exe, do not double-click to install it, use WinRAR to extract it to a directory, such as: H:\\sp1;

3. Copy the Windows XP installation file to a directory, for example: H:\\winxp;

4. Click “Start” → “Run” and enter “h:\\sp1\\” in the dialog box. Update\\update -s:h:\\winxp", click "OK";

5. At this time, the program automatically integrates the update information of SP1 into the Windows XP installation program;

6 Double-click "H:\\winxp\\setup.exe" and then click "Install Microsoft Windows XP" to perform a fresh installation (don't be afraid, your original installed program will not be lost);

7, by default Prompt to install, there will be a trial recovery Windows XP, press R for a tentative recovery, then automatically restart, and re-enter the tentative recovery interface, then press R to Try restoration, the following have been installed by default continue;

8, the final installation is successful, do not even need to activate the previously installed programs unharmed, System Properties shows "Version 2002 Service Pack 1".

You can also burn the Windows XP installation program that integrates SP1 in step 5 into a CD-ROM. You don't need to upgrade it when you install Windows XP later.
