Old bird must read: Shield WINDOWS XP system file scanning function

Windows XP is very good for system file protection, as long as the system file is found to be modified, it will automatically restore to the correct version, which is for computer beginners Very good feature to prevent system crashes. However, for the old birds, I am afraid... At the same time, this feature cannot be turned off. What can I do? However, it can be turned off by modifying a file on the XP system. My system is installed in English version of Windows XP Professional 2600, so I will do experiments in this environment for everyone to see, do not understand the computer is not very good, after all, it is a little dangerous. In the modification, we need to use the Windows XP installation CD and the hex file editor, I use UltraEdit32. The software is available for download on many websites.
There is a SFC_OS.DLL file in the XP system folder. This is the key to our modification. Since this file is usually hidden, we will display all the files through the view selection in the folder option.

After the folder properties are modified, the SFC_OS.DLL file can be viewed. We need to enter the SYSTEM32 folder in the system folder. We can enter systemroot%system32 in the run to enter. It can also be accessed from my computer.

This file needs to be modified. Of course, in order to prepare for failure, either back up a file and open SFC_OS.DLL with a hex editor.
If your XP does not have the SP1 patch installed, change the data at E2B8 to 90 90, which was originally 8B C6. If the patch is installed, change the 8B C6 at E3BB to 9090. Simple, there should be no difficulty. If there is no UltraEdit32 on hand, we can also use the DEBUG command to modify it.
After that, we need to install a Recovery Console thing, you need to use the Windows XP system CD when installing. Just enter D:i386winnt32.exe /cmdcons and D: as CDROM during the run.
If the input is correct during the operation, a window will pop up asking if you want to install the Recovery Console. If the installation is YES, you don't want to install it.

This window means whether you want to connect to Microsoft Windows Update. If you need to connect, select Try connection to the web site again. If you don't connect, choose Skip this step and continue installing Windows. After NEXT, we start copying files. We don't choose to connect to the MS server here.
Everything is over, we start to replace the SFC_OS.DLL file. When you restart your computer, the screen will let you choose the startup method. Someone will let you choose. One is to enter XP, and the other is to enter the Recovery Console. We choose the second one.
Enter command line mode, then type the following command:
copy c:windowssystem32sfc_os1.dll c:Windowssystem32sfc_os.dll
copy c:windowssystem32sfc_os1.dll c:Windowssystem32dllcachesfc_os.dll
The above two commands believe everyone Can understand, the first is to replace the modified file with the unmodified file, the second is to replace the modified file with the backup file, the system has restored the previous version of the file, and then restart the computer again.
Enter the registry editor, enter regedit on the run, enter the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINE SOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionWinlogonSFCDisable. You can also use the lookup function to find SFCDisable.
Change the value of SFCDisable to ffffff9d, restart the computer again, it will be OK, how, it is simple.
