PQ is ruined, Ghost is restored

The author's master machine is only 10GB, and the E disk continues to decrease as the game increases. Just as the remaining space of the C and D disks is more, move a part to the E disk. This requires the use of Partition Magic (PQ) which can perform lossless partitioning in the Windows environment.

After running Windows version of PQ8.0, I used the wizard mode, select "Adjust the capacity of a partition" step by step, and assign 1GB of C drive and 500MB of D drive to E drive. .

I made a big mistake when adjusting the partition, because PQ8.0 can only adjust the adjacent partition, and the author's cross-partition adjustment leads to the following problem.

The adjustment speed is very slow. After the end, enter Windows and double-click "My Computer". It is found that the C and D disk space has been reduced, but the space of the E disk has not changed. Double-click to enter the E disk, all the files inside disappeared, select "check error" on the E disk, the error can not be operated. According to the prompts, the disk scanner program that comes with Windows is used to detect errors. As a result, many missing files are detected. After "all repairs", the E disk is filled with countless CHK files, but this is not the file in the E disk. .

Remember that there is disk detection function in Ghost, so enter Ghost, select Local→Check→Disk in turn, press Enter to start detection. The author found that the directory and file of the detection process actually have the original file of the E disk, so it is easy to find the original file. First use Ghost to make the E disk as an image file and save it on the D disk, then format the E disk. At this time, you can see that the E disk space has increased. Finally, open the image file with Ghost Explorer and extract the files to the E drive. Open the E drive again, run the program, and everything works. At this point, the author successfully restored the partition damaged by PQ.

Tip:

When using PQ for partition adjustment, be sure to merge only adjacent partitions, and you cannot shut down or restart when you adjust the partition. Otherwise, data may be lost.
