User Guide: Uncovering the difference between 54M and static 108M

What is dynamic 108M? Why is my network card configuration software showing 54M? What is the difference between static and 108M? With these questions, we look at the following .

The purpose of Dynamic 108M function design is to be compatible with common 802.11B and 802.11G products. It can meet the simultaneous access of 11M, 54M and 108M in the network. The working principle of dynamic 108M mode is 54M. Switching with the 108M mode, but this switching is internal and cannot be performed externally. On the NIC configuration software, the connection rate we see will always be 54M. In addition, if there are fixed 802.11B and 802.11G products in your environment, you can't switch to 108M mode. In this case, we recommend you use 54M mode.

If your environment is a 108M network card, but in a few cases there may be a customer carrying a laptop (ordinary wireless network card) to access your company network, you can use the dynamic 108M mode.

Conversely, static 108M is fixed in 108M mode. Only NICs that support 108M mode can be connected, while other common 802.11B and 802.11G products cannot be connected, but this mode is for signal strength and The quality requirements are also relatively high.

Note: 108M technology (SUPER G) is not an IEEE standard technology. Wireless products from different manufacturers may not be connected on the connection (not found yet), poor connection performance (bad signal, unstable) Etc. Therefore, we recommend that you use the same manufacturer's wireless network card, wireless routing and wireless AP.
