Microsoft upgrades Windows version of Skype

[Computer Shop News] January 10th news, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft's Skype department launched a new version of Skype, the 6.1 version, for the Windows operating system on Thursday.

Skype is now available for PCs running 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7, but not for Windows 8, but because users can run Skype on a PC with Windows 8. You can also run the upgraded Skype if you want.

Microsoft said that version Skype Skype allows users to talk and chat with contacts directly through Microsoft Outlook, making it easier to search and add contacts, and to manage accounts on an updated personal page.

This upgrade to Skype also fixes several bugs in previous versions.

When the user just upgraded and installed the new version of Skype, a notice will appear that the future Skype upgrade will be completed in a silent installation.

Microsoft issued a notice to some Windows Messenger Live (MSN) users on Tuesday that the product will stop providing services to most users on March 15 and replace it with Skype (including built-in MSN).

When preparing to shut down MSN and replace it with Skype, Microsoft prompts MSN users to merge their contact lists on MSN and Skype. Once the user merges the contact lists of the two products, he is automatically transferred to Skype and can no longer use the MSN service. One benefit that users can now merge their contact lists intentionally or unintentionally is that they can use the Compact View feature on Skype when sending text messages to their contacts.

The Microsoft Skype division also upgraded the Mac version of Skype to version 6.1 on Thursday. This upgrade to Skype for Mac allows users to dial a phone number through the Safari browser on the Mac operating system and adds an improved view of the user's files.
