Vista does not support LinuxSamba Server solution

Originally Windows Vista forced NTLMv2 authentication, while Samba Server only supports NTLM

1. Click "Start", point to "Programs", then single Click on "Administrative Tools".

2. Under “Local Security Settings” (or directly start “secpol.msc”), expand “Local Policies”.

3. Click on "Security Options".

4. Double-click "Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level", then click on the list: Send LM and NTLMv2, if negotiated, use NTLMv2 Protocol (LM and NTLM – use NTLMV2 session security if negotiated)

Get it.
