How to enable DWM function in Longhorn

        Recently, it was found that in the Longhorn build 5048, most Nvidia graphics cards can open DWM (Avalon Desktop Windows Manager). After running DWM, the desktop will produce transparent and 3D shadow effects.

Unfortunately, my laptop onboard graphics card does not work, you will receive an error message also with transparency, but also be seen, huh, huh ...... behind the map.

Let's take a look at the steps:

1. Click start, Run..., type services.msc

2. Open the User ExperIEnce Session Management service (set to Automatic, click START)

3. Close services.msc

4. Download the .REG file (click to download)

5. Run the decompressed REG file

6. Click Start-Run... Type C:Windowssystem32uxss.exe

Without any surprise, you can see the effect.

If you want to disable, stop the User ExperIEnce Session Management service.

The .REG file is not available for download. The content is: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftDWM]

"EnableMachineCheck"=dWord:00000000
< BR> Save this part as a *.reg file and run it. Figure
