Nero installation is very simple, step by step installation Yes. Let's start with the burning data CD, familiar with the role of Nero's various functions and the meaning of each option.

The new version of the nero startup interface has undergone considerable changes compared to the past, reflecting the thoughtfulness and care of the software to the user.

select a task, then there will be the following interface

Select "File - New", then the menu will appear as shown below. In this menu you can select the "read-only CD-ROM (ISO)" we want to burn. This option can be used in Nero to create ISO discs and multi-record discs (including additional data).

If your CD-R /RW blank, and insufficient data to be written to a disc capacity (650MB /700MB), then you can choose "multi-record." If your CD-R/RW disc has already used "Start Multi-Record Disc" and does not close the disc, you can select "Continue Multi-Record Disc" to introduce previously written data. When using "Continue Multi-Record Disc", Nero pre-reads the last ISO track of the disc in the recorder. If you want to fill the entire disc at once or don't want to append data, you can choose "No more records" to get the most space, the best compatibility and the fastest reading speed.

After determining the type of CD-ROM you want to burn, we can enter the setting interface of the ISO (File Options) option as shown below. The settings in this interface are related to whether the burned disc can be read on DOS, UNIX, Mac systems; whether long file names are supported; whether Chinese file names and directory names are supported; so everyone should understand them one by one.

"File - /directory name length": ISO level 1 file name and directory name can only use up to 11 characters, that is, does not support long file names, to relax this limit you have to choose "ISO level 2 "So, we can use long filenames.

ISO-9660 currently has Level 1 and Level 2 standards. Level 1 is compatible with DOS, the file name is in the traditional 8.3 format, and all characters can only be 26 uppercase English letters, 10 Arabic numerals and underscores. Level 2 is improved on the basis of Level l, allowing long file names to be used, although Nero can only support 31 characters, but does not support DOS.

Format: There are two options "Mode 1" and "Mode 2". The Yellow Book specification defines two different data structures. In the Header field of the CD-ROM, there is a Byte indicating that the data in the area is Mode 1 or Mode 2. Mode 1 represents that the CD-ROM data data contains Error Correction Code (ECC), and each sector stores 2048 bytes of data. The mode 2 data has no error correction code, so each sector can store 288 bytes more, reaching 2336 bytes. Therefore, mode 2 is more suitable for storing graphics, sound or video data. We can specify that each data track on the CD is Mode 1 or Mode 2, but the sectors within it can only have one format to hold the data.

In the character set options, there are four sub-options to choose from: ISO 9660, DOS, ASCII, multi-byte, Joliet

Relaxing ISO restrictions: "Allow path depths above 8 directories The "and allow paths over 255 characters" option is a relaxation of the ISO 9660 standard, which effectively complements the standard. However, if you check these two options, it will not be read on the old operating system and Mac.

Next, set the "Label" option. Click the Labels tab and enter the name of the disc you want to use. Click the "Date" tab to set the date and time for the creation of files and directories on the CD. After completing the settings, you can press the "New" button on the right to enter the file selection window.
Drag the explorer to the right of the file you want to burn to the list of files on the left. Click the "Open the CD directory program" button to enter the "Write to CD" dialog box

Please also select "Write" if you want to append data as follows, if you write the entire disc at once or do not want to write again To enter the data, check the "End Disc" to close the entire disc.

"Determining the maximum speed" is to test whether the system can keep up with the burning speed before burning. If the speed is not enough, the burning speed will be reduced, and the burning failure will be avoided to some extent.

The function of "simulation" is to simulate the whole process of burning before the actual burning, but it does not include the writing of the laser to the disk, that is, the information of the hard disk (optical drive, software, network, etc.) can be tested. Whether the transmission of the source is stable enough to meet the specified recording speed, but it takes twice as long.

"Write speed" can set the writing speed. If the time is enough, you should try to use low speed to burn, not only the success rate is high but also the risk of burning is smaller.

"Disc One-Time" in "Write Method" is actually DAO mode.

"Baiting Copies" sets the number of discs burned. There is usually an option in the immediate vicinity of the "number of copies", which is mainly related to some anti-kill technology options. If the recorder can support these functions, the corresponding function options will be opened, and a check mark at this position will be required to make the corresponding immortal technology effective.

After setting all of them, we can start burning by pressing the "Burn" button.

I am familiar with burning data discs. Let's learn how to use Nero to burn discs in other formats: Select "File - New", and in the menu that appears, you can select the various types of CDs we want to burn. . Including audio CD, mixed mode CD, CD copy, VCD, super video CD, read-only CD (boot) and so on.

Select "VCD" to create a VCD disc. Generally speaking, when we burn a VCD disc, we use the disc for a general home VCD machine, in order to make the disc conform to the VCD standard. The Create Standard Compliant CD "Create a CD that conforms to the standard" must be checked. Since most domestic VCD machines can only recognize the international standard of ISO 9660, here we want ISO 1 level file/directory name length and ISO 9660 character set, and do not select "relax ISO limit". After all this is set, you can press the "New" button to enter the editing of the VCD program. The image file formats supported by Nero are .dat and .mpg, but both must be standard MPEG-1 encoding. What we should pay attention to is to drag the image file to the track window below the disc panel instead of storing the mpegav directory of the .dat file after burning. This is very important!

In short, Nero Burning Rom is a very powerful software, the latest version of the design is more user-friendly, and in addition to pure burning, there are many other features, such as editing audio, design CD cover and many more.
