XP users can not access the Windows7 file solution

XP system computer can not access the Windows7 shared folder, although some can see the shared directory under Windows 7, but once entered the directory, it will prompt no access.

Workaround:

Go to the "Network and Sharing Center" to set up and turn off the Windows firewall. Although there is an insecure risk to doing so, in order to achieve mutual access between different systems, it is only a last resort.

After closing the Windows Firewall, the next step is to enter the "Advanced Settings" on the left side of the firewall settings interface to modify the "Inbound Rules" and "Outbound Rules". In these two rules, find the "File and Printer Sharing" option and set all of its options to "Allow all connection".

After completing the above settings, you need to enter the "User Account", open the "Guest" account, and open the corresponding sharing function in the system service. At this point, the sharing settings have been almost completed. Finally, set the corresponding shared folder. If you are familiar with the XP sharing settings, you can basically operate the following settings very conveniently. The concept of sharing Windows 7 settings is almost the same as XP. The difference is that the path is different.

The first step is to select the folder to be shared, right click and select "Properties", select "Advanced Sharing" in the "Share" tab, and put the hook before "Share this folder" Then click "Add" - "Advanced" - "Find Now" in "Permissions". Then select "Everyone" and "Guest" in the search results and confirm.

The above steps can basically solve the problem that 99% of XP can't access the shared folder of Windows7. Of course, it is not ruled out that the access exception still occurs through the above methods. For this reason, it is recommended to temporarily disable the installation of additional anti-virus software or a third-party network firewall such as Skynet to prevent other network firewalls from obstructing access.
