Microsoft pushes two updates to Win10 Build 10240

  

Today's Win10 Insider member's Build 10240 release received two new patches, the cumulative security update KB3074679 and the functional update KB3074686. Details of these two patches can be found in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.


Because KB3074679 is a cumulative security update, it will include the previous bug fixes as follows:

• Fix OpenType font remote code execution vulnerability

• Fix IE browser's Adobe Flash Player vulnerability

• Fix privilege escalation issues that Windows 10 installer service does when running custom action scripts

In addition, The update also includes non-security patches for improvements to the new features of Win10.

The second update, KB3074686, is used to improve the OOBE (out-of-box experience) performance of the Win10 installer, which is the account settings after the Win10 system main body installation. This update only applies to the Win10 installer OOBE process and will only be used when OOBE updates are installed.

After the two updates are installed, the system will ask to restart the computer. Relevant users should schedule a system restart in time to ensure the security of Win10.
