How to share files in WinXP LAN to achieve file management, application software sharing

  

LAN, refers to a computer group interconnected by multiple computers in a certain area, can achieve file management, application software sharing, printer sharing and other functions. How does WinXP share files on the LAN?

Steps

Open “My Computer”. There will usually be a folder called “Share File”. If there is no such folder. Then create a new folder in any disk, named as a shared file.

Copy the materials and files you need to share to this folder. Then use the right mouse button to click the folder.

Click & ldquo; Sharing and Security & rdquo ;. In the "Share” tab, put the following two places on the √. Click OK.

At this time, a hand-like icon will appear on the folder. The description has been shared successfully.

Any user on the LAN can right click on the network neighborhood on their computer and enter your ip address to see the files you shared.

After WinXP sets up file sharing, a hand icon appears below the file, indicating that the hand is attached, meaning sharing. The LAN is closed, it can be two computers or thousands. LANs can be used like organizations within our company.
