Win10 Spartan browser will enjoy the new rendering engine

Computer store news: Win10 new Spartan browser will replace veteran IE, become Microsoft's new favorite. However, Microsoft has made it clear that the Spartan browser and IE11 will have their own division of labor. At present, IE browser will not be completely "retirement", and it will continue to play the heat. Microsoft has now decided that the Windows 10 Spartan browser will exclusively share the new web rendering engine they have developed, and IE11 will continue to use the current rendering engine in Windows 8.1 in Windows 10.

Previously Microsoft’s plan was to let IE11 use both the previous engine and the new Windows 10 engine, but Microsoft announced today that based on Windows Insider user feedback and other reasons, they decided The new rendering engine will only be exclusive to the Spartan browser.

Microsoft also gave the reason in the blog:

Spartan browser is a new browser for the next generation of the Web, it takes advantage of the unique opportunities offered by Windows 10 Become a new service in Windows with a modern architecture and service model. This clear positioning between the old and new browsers prompted us to make the above decision. Our testing of the Spartan browser also shows that it will be highly adaptable to modern web, so it also means that there is no need to use legacy engines for compatibility.

IE11 in Windows 10 will provide an efficient solution for old-fashioned usage scenarios and enterprise users, and it needs to be consistent with IE11 in Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. And with a new rendering engine will have compatibility impact, and make IE11 have different performance in Windows 10.

Insider member and developer feedback reflects that the distinction between IE11 and Spartan browser in terms of webpage functionality is not obvious, developers are not clear when submitting URLs. What kind of distinction is made.

Microsoft also announced in its blog that they will host a special Windows 10 Web Platform Summit at the Microsoft Silicon Valley campus in Mountain View, Calif., from May 5th to 6th, which will be open to the public.

For the latest Spartan browser, the launch of the new engine indicates that Microsoft is looking forward to it.
