Microsoft WP8/WP8.1 biggest problem still not solved

Windows Phone is still facing a dilemma: if there are no more users, application developers will not The platform builds the app; without enough apps, the platform can't get more users. Foreign media WPCentral recently reviewed the 25 hottest apps in the Apple Store and found that only 6 are available for Windows Phone 8/Windows Phone 8.1. One aspect of WPCentral's optimism is that 13 of the 25 apps are game apps, and the game app rankings are relatively large, so the impact is small; however, WPCentral also pointed out that the six apps lacking WP8/WP8.1 do affect mobile Mobile phone users' choices include: WatchESPN, YouTube, Snapchat, Google Maps, Univision Deportes, and FIFA Official App.

WPCentral also looked at the 100 hottest apps in the Apple Store this week and found that WP8/WP8.1 lacks a lot of hot apps like Uber, Tinder, SoundCloud and Dropbox.

This also explains why Microsoft is working hard to build a common platform that will make it easier for developers to build cross-platform applications.
