Win8 is indeed not a new Windows Vista

Computer store news: Microsoft finally announced yesterday that Windows8 will sell more than 200 million licenses after 15 months of listing.

Basically, Win8 still lags behind Win7, and Windows 7 sold 240 million licenses only after 12 months of listing. Obviously, Win7 can attract more users.

Previously, the news said that Microsoft internal staff called Win8 a new Windows Vista, which claims to be the biggest failure in Microsoft history. So how does Win8 perform compared to Windows Vista?

Win8 actually sells much better, although the numbers provided by many third-party analysts don't show this difference.

Microsoft said that Windows Vista sold 180 million licenses 18 months after its launch, but Win8 reached 200 million after 15 months.

As for market share, Win8 and Win8.1 are currently close to 10%, while Windows Vista market share has dropped significantly to the current 3%.
