Hard drive transfer speed doubled under Win XP

If there are two hard drives, with the dynamic volume feature in Windows XP, the hard drive transfer speed can be greatly improved. First, convert all partitions in both hard drives to NTFS disk format. Then open the "Disk Management" window, right click on the two hard drives, select the "Convert to Dynamic Disk" command in the pop-up menu, convert both hard drives into dynamic disks.

Right-click on the black area after the second hard drive and select the "New Volume" command. In the dialog that opens, click "Next", and there are 3 options, select "Striped Volume". Click "Next", the second hard disk will appear in the "Selectable" list, in the space below, enter the space to control a single hard disk. Click Next to assign a drive letter to the created partition. Click "Next", select the NTFS disk format to quickly format the partition, and finally click "Finish". The gray area displayed in the partition list of the Disk Management window is the newly created striped volume.

Open "My Computer" and you will see the newly created partition. When reading data in this partition, you can achieve nearly twice the data transfer rate. Using the same steps, the remaining space is newly created as a striped volume, which can enjoy the high data transfer rate advantage brought by the disk array in disguise.
