Let the Recovery Console Enter the Hard Disk

  

The Recovery Console under Windows 2000/XP/2003 is a very effective tool for diagnosing, testing, and restoring system functions in the event of some unexpected situation in the system. The failed system can be brought back to life. Under normal circumstances, you can start it by installing the CD. In fact, we can use the following method to install the Recovery Console to the hard disk. This way, you can start it at any time from the hard disk at any time, which is very convenient.

Step 1: In the Windows 2000/XP/2003 system, insert the Windows 2000/XP/2003 installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. Click “Start”→“Run”, in the pop-up dialog box, click "Browse" to find the i386 folder on the installation CD, select the winnt32.exe program to open it, and return to the input box. After the command line, enter the parameter “ /cmdcons” (note that there is a space before, do not enter the quotation marks), & ldquo; determine & rdquo;.

Step 2: After confirming, the system will pop up a prompt window asking if you want to install the Recovery Console, click “Yes  Continue.

Step 3: At this point the installer will attempt to connect to the internet for automatic updates. If your computer does not have Internet access, the dialog shown in Figure 3 will pop up very quickly. At this point, directly select “ skip this step, continue to install Windows & rdquo;, click & ldquo; next & rdquo;. It is recommended that even if your computer can be connected to the internet, it is better to disconnect the network to install from the CD, which will be much faster than updating via the internet.

Step 4: Next, the system will copy the files and start installing the Recovery Console. After the installation is completed, a prompt box that has been successfully installed will pop up.

Step 5: Restart the computer, and there will be an additional "Microsoft Windows XP Recovery Console" in the operating system selection menu.

In the future, when the system fails, you can easily enter the system recovery console to repair the system. You don't have to rummaging around to find the Windows installation CD.
