In the eyes of many users, my documents are just a folder of files or temporary files. Other uses are not much to understand, although "My documents." "It's really a system folder in windows xp, and many people just use it to store some daily work files. In fact, "My Documents" is not just a simple file storage, it also contains a lot of secrets and features not used!

1. Change the path to save files

“ My document & rdquo; The default path is "C:\\Documents and Settings\\username\\My Documents", and for security reasons, usually everyone's work files will not be saved on the system partition, so it is necessary to transfer “My Documents& rdquo; path.

Right-click on the "My Documents" icon on the desktop and select the "Properties" command to open the Properties Settings dialog. Go to the “destination folder” tab and click the “move" button. In the pop-up browsing folder dialog box, select the common working folder path. In this way, when editing a file later, it can be conveniently saved to the working folder at any time.

Sometimes you need to copy files from multiple different paths and move them to a specific folder. You can set the "My Documents" path to the folder where you want to save the file. Then right click on the file you want to move, select the “send to →My Documents” command in the popup menu to quickly copy files from different paths to the specified location.

2.Create a resource manager with no window

By setting, you can view the contents of the “My Documents" in the "Start” menu. This feature can create a convenient resource manager.

First right click on the “Start” menu, select “Properties", click the “Customize" button to open the “Advanced" tab, at “Start Menu Find the “My Documents" in the list> and set it to “ as the menu”. After setting, select “My Documents” in the “Start” menu to automatically pop up the next sub-menu, from which you can see “My Music” and “My Pictures”. And so on.

Now, according to the above method, set the default path modification of “My Documents  to a common work drive letter, for example, set to “D:\\”. After setting, click “start → all programs”, move the mouse to “My Documents>, you can see all the folders and subfolders in the D drive. And it can conveniently display the next sub-menu, jump in each sub-folder, copy the moving files and other operations. This "mini" type of resource manager has no window, it will be automatically closed after opening, no need to click the mouse when jumping to the directory, and it can be called at any time when there are other program windows on the desktop to maximize the work. Does not affect the use of other programs.

3.“My Documents” can also make screensavers

In "My Documents", there is a "picture collection" folder in windows xp. Dynamic screen saver can be easily created with the photo collection folder.
