Solve Windows XP system ip address frequent conflict failure

Because there are too many people using computers in school, Windows XP system prompts "IP address conflicts with other systems on the network." How to solve the cumbersome conflict of LAN IP addresses?

IP conflict conflict diagram.

Right-click on the "My Network Places" property on the desktop.

Next, select the "Local Area Connection" right-click property in "Network Connection".

Now open the "Local Area Connection" property and select "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" in the Point Properties.

Then fill in the IP address and subnet mask under "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)". Just change the last three digits of your IP address. For example, 192.168.1.255 is your IP address. You can change it to any number between 0-255, provided that none of these numbers are used. Then you can resolve the conflict. If you get it automatically, it will take a long time, so the networking speed will be faster after setting.
