Select “Start→Run”, enter the “Syskey” command in the “Run” dialog box, and then pop up the “Protect Windows XP Account Database Security” interface. Click the "Update" button. In the "Startup Password" interface, click the "Password Startup" radio button, then enter the password when the system is started and confirm again, and finally click the "OK" button.

If you need to cancel the system startup password, click “Save the startup password on this machine” under “System generated password” in the “Startup Password” interface, and the system password will be determined. Save to the hard disk, the next time you start the computer will not appear the window to start the password.

"Startup password" is displayed in the system startup. After restarting the system, the first thing that appears is to prompt you to enter the "boot password". After entering the correct password, the Windows XP login interface will appear. After entering the user name and password, it is completely logged into the system. Now your system has double password protection.

2. Making a "key disk"

"Key disk" is equivalent to a key, only the key disk can be used to open the boot password at startup, now many software use this method To encrypt the software. Making a "key disk" is very simple. Enter the "Syskey" command in the "Run" dialog box, click the "Update" button in the "Protect Windows XP Account Database Security" interface, and then select "System Generated" in the "Start Password" interface. "Password on the floppy disk" under "Password". After clicking the "OK" button, you will be prompted to enter the password, and then you will be inserted into the floppy drive to create a "key disk". After inserting, click the "OK" button and wait a moment. When you restart your computer, you will be prompted to insert the "keyboard". If you do not have this disk, you will not be able to start the computer. If you need to cancel or change the startup password, you need to insert this "key disk" to change.
