Google Android has been updated to 2.3.6 to improve voice search

Just as many Android mobile phone users can't upgrade Android 2.3, Google has launched Android 2.3.6, the first to enjoy this treatment is Nexus S (Samsung i9020 ). Just last weekend, Samsung i9020 users have begun to receive official upgrade notices. It is understood that the new version of this release fixes both the content of voice search and security vulnerabilities.

Before that, the 4G version of the Nexus S has been able to upgrade to Android 2.3.5, while the regular version of the latest ROM is still 2.3.4. Nexus S skips Android 2.3.5 and directly upgrades to 2.3.6. Currently, the model that can be notified by OTA upgrade is only Samsung i9020 (and only for i9020A).

In addition to the OTA update, students who want to experience the new ROM as soon as they don't wait for the upgrade notice can download the upgrade package and install it. It is understood that the Nexus S contains two models, namely the Samsung i9020 and the Samsung i9023. The Samsung i9023 has neither received the upgrade notice nor the exclusive official ROM available for download.

There are already many Nexus S users who are not i9020A in the forum. The author also reminds everyone here that the brush machine is risky and needs to be cautious. At present, the known bugs that non-i9020A users have swiped into Android 2.3.6 are: Cannot use China Unicom 3G network, and the SMS sent to telecom users is garbled. Since the official upgrade of the i9020 has been launched, I believe that the i9023 upgrade for the Nexus S will not be too far away. Please wait for the official notice.
