These 6 Surface 3 screen capture methods, Win8.1 desktop users can also learn

screenshots are the features we often use, whether it is a PC, mobile phone or tablet, have their own screen capture method. Microsoft Win8.1/Win10 Tablet Surface 3 has been listed in many countries and regions around the world, and the first batch of users have already got this model. So how does Surface 3 take a screenshot? We look at the following six methods of foreign media.

Method 1: The easiest way to do this is to hold down the Windows button (power button) and press the volume down button. The screen then dims for a second, and the screenshot is saved in the Screenshots screenshot folder of the photo gallery.
Method 2: Using the Surface 3 keyboard cover, first press and hold the Win button (the button with the Microsoft logo on the keyboard instead of the power button on the tablet), then press the PrtScn screen button. The effect is the same as Method 1. After the screen is darkened for one second, the screenshot is saved in the Screenshots screenshot folder of the photo library. This method is also applicable to PCs.

Method 3: Same as PC, directly press PrtScn on the keyboard cover, the screenshot will be saved in the clipboard. During this process, the screen will not be dark, and the screenshot will not be automatically saved to the image library. Users need to manually paste the screenshot into the drawing or Photoshop to edit and save.
Method 4: Also use the keyboard cover, hold down the Alt key, and press PrtScn. This method does not intercept the full screen, but intercepts the current active window screen. Similarly, using this method will not darken the screen, nor will it automatically save the screenshot, but temporarily save it to the clipboard, and the user needs to manually paste it into the program such as drawing to edit and save. This method is also applicable to PCs.

Method 5: Using the Surface stylus, press the top button twice, then use the pen to select the range of screen areas you want to capture (drag a square area). Once the pen tip leaves the screen, the selected area will appear in a new OneNote page that the user can edit and save.
Method 6: Like the PC, in the Surface 3 desktop mode, open the screenshot tool that comes with Windows 8.1/Windows10, click the down arrow to the right of the “New” button, and select the screenshot method you want, such as full screen. Window, arbitrary format, etc.

It can be seen that many methods are often used in PCs. The special ones are the two methods of matching the Surface 3 power button and the stylus. Of course, these two methods and the Surface Pro 3 There is no difference in operation. And the use of stylus screenshots can also be directly integrated with OneNote, which is very convenient for the "regular" OneNote using Surface 3/Surface Pro 3.
