The computer stops responding or the playback video automatically exits the solution

  
                  If you try to play certain games on a Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer, you may experience one or more of the following symptoms:
1. The game may stop responding (hang).
2. The game unexpectedly quits (crash) when starting the introductory video clip.
3. You may receive an error message similar to the following error message:
Video not available - cannot find 'VIDS:IV50' decompressor
Failed (hr=0x80004002) in pVW-> put_Owner( (OAHWND)HWnd)

Cause Analysis
This problem occurs if:
1. The game you want to run contains video compressed with the Indeo video codec.
2. The Indeo codec is not installed on the computer.
The Indeo codec is not included in Windows XP Home Edition SP1.
Solution
Please install Microsoft Q327979 patch
