Win10 Preview: The new package management framework OneGet

Computer store news: Last week, Microsoft pushed the Win10 preview version of Build9860, adding new features, such as local support for MKV format video, etc., and the upcoming The new package management framework OneGet.

Accurately, OneGet is not new, it was first mentioned in April this year, but at that time it was an optional feature of the Win8.1 system, installed with the Windows Management Framework 5.0 preview. OneGet will now be installed on all Win10 systems, which means developers can take advantage of this feature to create new features.

Microsoft describes OneGet like this:

OneGet is a new way to discover and install packages on the web. With OneGet you can do the following things :

• Manage a range of packages that can be searched, retrieved, and installed.

• Search and filter in the software library and discover the software you need

• Seamlessly install and uninstall one or more software using a single PowerShell command line.
< If you are not familiar with package management, it is a useful tool for developers to uninstall, upgrade or install local applications. At present, OneGet is still an early version, and it is not clear which Win10 version Microsoft will launch.
